This Monday three selected groups presented their case at the office, with a dinner and a winner ceremony afterwards. Congratulations to both the bonus winners and the winners of the case!

Chartering Game at Torm
In February 2023, our first-year students started their second semester with a full-day company event at TORM. The day started with a light breakfast before TORMs CEO, Jacob Meldgaard introduced the students to TORM and the challenges they face in the rapidly changing shipping industry. Later, a couple of TORMs shipping interns and trainees including two of our third-year students shared the experience of life as a shipping intern and trainee in TORM. This was followed by an introduction to the work of TORMs charting- and operations-department. After a lunch break with time to engaging conversations with employees of TORM we rounded the day off with TORMs very own chartering game. This was a great opportunity for our students to get the experience of how trade deals are made. There was a great competitive atmosphere in the battle for first place and our students had a lot of fun.
We want to use the opportunity to thank TORM and Veronica Fay Bermann Krivaa for hosting the event and showing interest in our students and studies by sharing interesting knowledge within the shipping industry.

The second-year students of IST CBS are currently enrolled in semesters abroad. Those in Singapore did yesterday get the unique opportunity to visit Viking Supply Ships AHTS vessel Andreas Viking currently on anchorage outside Marina Bay.
The students were transported to the vessel by taxi boat, including a seamless boarding via the pilot ladder. Welcomed by Captain Tommy on the main deck, the visit thereafter unfolded by lunch and a detailed tour of the vessel. In addition to the tour, the students also got to try to handle the vessels cranes, providing a hands on connection to technical aspects of maritime operations.
Our sincere appreciation goes to Viking Supply Ships for making this happen. Thank you to the entire crew of Andreas Viking for their warm hospitality and for providing our students an enriching educational experience!
